Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency in India. In 2011, IBPS announced a Common Written Examination (CWE) for the recruitment of officers and clerks in Indian banks. IBPS CWE is now mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in 27 public sector and regional rural banks.
All ibps exams are conducted in online mode in various part of the country. After passing the exam, the candidates have to appear for interviews.
Depending on their performance in the interview, they are placed in different banks. State bank po exam is similar to ibps PO, but the difficulty level is slightly high. Maximum questions in ibps are for testing airthmetic abilities while SBI exams are mostly based on Data Analysis & Interpretation.
Difference between ibps po & ibps clerk:
Both the exams are exactly similar, the only difference they have is the difficulty level. The ibps po contains questions based on topics like
probability, data in interpretation, charts, permutation and combination which are missing in ibps clerk exam.
Unlike the general test, the gre subject test is offered in eight areas & specifically used to measure students knowledge in subject which they have
majored at the undergraduate level.
GRE tests are prepared by an US based non-profit organization Education Testing Service. Admission commitees uses the scores along with undergraduate
records, recommendations and other relevant criterias for giving admission to respective courses.
It is not the thing that all universities require gre scores , but most institutions do. So, it is always good to check requirements of indivisual
institutions before applying.
